3 March, Prishtina – The Night of Fires is commemorated at Galeria Qahili.

A tribute to life and the 36-hour resistance is marked through an installation at Galeria Qahili on 5, 6, 7 March starting at 19:00.

Gratitude for the life we live today,
And gratitude for happiness,
Gratitude for the education and the journey we take,
This tribute bows to your life, to the life of everyone.
Beyond joy and dance, the rifle came.
In front of us,
a new life begins;
the sorrows that have worn you down
have passed like a lament never forgotten.
The echo of the Jashari family,
Sacrifice and devotion – Unity and resistance.
The fire of the rifle;
Sounds, verses, chirping;
Music marks happiness, and fire marks the gun.

This installation is accompanied by the music of renowned local artists, mixed by Flow, to recreate what was experienced during those 36 hours and what we experience today. It is complemented by archival video footage accessible to the public and the works of Eshref Qahili, marking the historical turning point of our country.
